Well hello there.
I’m Gundars Mēness (Latvian for Fire-maker Moon), living in Rīga, Latvia and working in München, Germany.
Currently I am employed by Accenture as Software Engineering Team Lead. I enjoy developing software almost as much as I enjoy operations and technology architecture. I love my job with all my heart, and it has become the main part of my life. Silly, but true.
The purpose of this blog is to showcase my thoughts on subjects important to me, subjects I am teaching to developers I work with, and learning from them. Subjects that I would have loved to know about when I first started working with PHP. This blog is launched 22.04.17 to celebrate 10 years of programming, during which I have accumulated opinions on how things are, and how they should be.
I wish to bend that thin line separating theory and practice, but I can’t. There are always better developers than me out there, better solutions architects, better scrum masters and what not. They are not me though, so the best I can provide is unique experience, original ideas and strong opinion. Whether that’s good or bad is up to you, reader – the judge, the jury, the executioner.
I hope you enjoy reading my articles as much as I enjoy writing them, and find them inspiring, or at least useful.
Thank you for stopping by, I wish you a nice day! 🙂
